We are beyond excited to welcome Katie Evans, the newest member of the Collaboratory team! Katie comes to Collaboratory with experience working in both higher education and civic engagement. Katie has assisted with the implementation and use of Collaboratory on a university campus and has a background in community-based learning and faculty development.
Katie will focus on assisting institutions successfully implement and leverage Collaboratory on their campuses. We are excited for all of our institutions to get to know Katie as she becomes more involved in the Collaboratory Community of Practice.
Katie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in political science and minoring in philosophy and ethics. While at Northern Iowa, Katie’s passion for civic engagement grew as she served as student body president and was involved with a variety of organizations (e.g., Model United Nations, Ronald McDonald House Charities) with whom she still works today. After graduation Katie pursued a career in higher education community engagement, serving as Marietta College’s Coordinator for Community-Based Learning. Most recently, Katie worked as a Graduate Assistant at Bowling Green State University’s Center for Public Impact while pursuing her Masters in Public Administration. At Bowling Green State she worked with various initiatives such as BGSU Votes, faculty community-based learning initiatives, and the implementation of Collaboratory. Katie is excited to join the Collaboratory team and help institutions leverage data to tell their story of engagement. We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the team!
