Centering Justice in Community Engagement Activities

Collaboratory is thrilled to invite our partners at Break Away to facilitate this workshop for all faculty, staff, students, and community partners at Collaboratory institutions!

Sparked by the racial uprisings of 2020 and informed by the often-harmful history of service programming in the United States, this workshop highlights the importance of centering justice within community engagement programming. Workshop participants will develop strategies for working toward more positive community impacts – including centering reciprocity and working to increase organizational capacity, while simultaneously cultivating active anti-racist organizational praxes.
