December 2023 Coffee Break: Collaboratory, Community Engagement, and DEI

December’s Coffee Break will demonstrate how Collaboratory data and community engagement initiatives can align with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). We will highlight relevant data points in Collaboratory that campuses can use to illustrate alignment between DEI and community engagement, and discuss Critical Community Engagement as a theoretical framing that aligns the two naturally. Conversation will include how administrators can: – Leverage Collabratoroy data to tell the story of DEI impact and alignment – Use data to better collaborate with DEI professional on campus and in the community – Use data to demonstrate alignment of key campus priorities to senior leaders, alumni, current and prospective students, and other relevant stakeholders This Coffee Break will feature Arizona State University and data storytelling they’ve done with Collaboratory data. Coffee Break attendees will receive a template, following ASU’s example, that they can fill in with their data to tell their own story.
