February 2024 Coffee Break: Collaboratory Transitions and Succession Planning

Collaboratory implementation, like many things in higher education, often requires creativity and adaptability to move through transitions in leadership, core administrators, students, and institutional/departmental priorities, as well as restructuring and budget considerations. February’s Coffee Break will address/support campuses in thinking about transitions, featuring Christine Bruckner from Illinois State University, sharing her own experience as a Collaboratory administrator working in the University’s Sustainability unit. She started rolling out Collaboratory while working in their Center for Civic Engagement and kept Collaboratory in her work portfolio when shifting offices. In addition to working through transitions, we hope this Coffee Break will allow for some discussion on Succession Planning of the various roles and responsibilities associated with sustaining Collaboratory on your campus, aligning with our theme for the CoP spring series: SUSTAINING COLLABORATORY / ANCHORING COLLABORATORY.
